URL Encoding, Decoding and Parsing

Input and results are only processed in the current browser and will not be uploaded.
Instructions for use
Component mode encodes slashes, question marks and plus signs; full-address mode preserves URI structural delimiters. Encoding and decoding modes do not change plus signs to spaces. When parsing an address, query parameters follow web form rules, which turn plus signs into spaces. Parsing accepts only complete HTTP or HTTPS addresses and lists query parameters individually, preserving duplicate keys. Input and results are processed only in the current browser.

URL Encoding, Decoding and Parsing

Example: the component a+b c encodes to a%2Bb%20c. Decoding %E4%B8%AD produces a Chinese character. Invalid percent escapes or truncated UTF-8 cause an error. URI decoding preserves percent escapes that have structural meaning; choose component to decode a parameter value. Parsed results do not establish that a domain is trustworthy or a website is reachable.
